About The Position
The Davidson College Department of Public Health invites applications for a one-semester Adjunct Assistant Professor position for Fall 2025. The ideal candidate will possess or be in the process of completing a terminal degree (e.g., PhD, DrPH, MD) in a public health-related field, along with the necessary training or experience to teach one or two classes during the Fall semester. We will also consider candidates with a MPH or another relevant master’s degree, provided they have demonstrated experience and expertise relevant to teaching undergraduate public health courses. Applicants from both academic institutions and applied public health organizations are encouraged to apply. The department is open to courses on a variety of public health topics that align with our mission, curriculum, and current needs. This includes lower-level courses suitable for students with or without prior public health coursework (class size approximately 30 students) and upper-level seminars designed including those who have completed previous public health coursework, as well as public health minors and majors (class size 12-14 students). Please note that the candidate is required to teach these classes in person. We will provide mentorship and guidance to the successful candidate.
