About The Position

The University of St. Thomas is seeking a qualified individual to fill an adjunct faculty teaching position for spring semester 2026. The successful candidate will teach PUBH 210 One Health for undergraduate students. The course is planned to be delivered via an in-person, classroom-based teaching modality, with some course work (lab) completed online. Spring 2026 schedule is 2/2/2024 to 5/22/2026. PUBH 210 in person meeting times will be Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 10:55 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The University of St. Thomas embraces belonging and equal opportunity for all. Requirements

  • A Master’s Degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, or related field
  • Prior teaching experience and/or professional Epidemiology or Infectious Disease experience
  • Commitment to high quality instruction in a student-centered environment
  • Ability to cultivate an inclusive learning environment that support students with various learning styles and diverse backgrounds

Nice To Haves

  • A terminal degree (PhD) in Epidemiology, Public Health, or related public health field
  • Experience using the Canvas learning management system (preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, and instructional technology to teach traditional, hybrid or online courses

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver in-person instruction using student-engaged pedagogical approaches
  • Develop course materials that align with program’s defined competencies and learning outcomes using the program’s designated textbook
  • Provide timely feedback to students re: their grades and progress in course
  • Be available to students for 1-2 hours office per week
  • Other duties as assigned
