The College consists of two campuses, the James Kerney Campus (JKC) in the capital city of Trenton, NJ and a larger 292 acre suburban campus just six miles north of Trenton. MCCC is seeking an Adjunct faculty member to teach in the Liberal Arts Program, specifically Political Science classes like American Government using a bilingual modality. The successful candidate should expect to have Spanish speaking and ESL students in their class and will be required to instruct these students in Spanish. This class will be offered face-to-face.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Political Science, or J.D. from an accredited educational institution.
• Proven instructional experience and dedication to student success.
• At least 5 years teaching experience.
• College-level teaching experience.
• Daytime availability.
• Instructional experience teaching both in person and online courses.
• Knowledge and experience with Blackboard or other learning management system or similar learning/advising management systems.

• Ph.D. from an accredited educational institution.

Responsibilities

• Teaches lecture-style instruction, including using technology such as automated presentations, computer generated slides, videos, and the college online LMS.
• Assessment of student progress and success in the classroom and with individual course assignments.
• Advises students and mentors students through individual and group interactions.
• Ability to have final course grades calculated and submitted by the semester deadline as needed.
• Staff and support office hours for student consultation and tutoring.
• Delivery of course content may be in-person, online, and hybrid based on course needs.
• Teaching opportunities may include day, evenings, weekend classes.
• Participate in required adjunct duties.
• Teach Political Science for all course levels offered at West Windsor and JKC.
