About The Position

The Department of Mathematics and Physics seeks applicants interested in teaching introductory physics courses, both lectures and labs. We offer a variety of courses, both algebra and calculus based, that support many majors and cover a wide range of topics. Class sizes are small and rooms are designed to support a wide range of research based pedagogical strategies.

Requirements

  • Faculty are required to teach introductory physics to a wide variety of students.
  • They should have a strong background in physics or a related field.
  • A Master's or Ph.D. is preferred, but candidates with significant graduate level coursework will be considered.
  • At the University's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be accepted where the candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the University, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Teaching experience is not required but preferred.
