About The Position

The Science and Technology Department at Finger Lakes Community College is seeking innovative and adaptable educators committed to student engagement excellence in teaching and interdisciplinary collaboration. FLCC offers many different course modalities, such as: Asynchronous Online, In-person, Hybrid, HyFlex, and Synchronous Online. Adjunct Faculty members may have the opportunity to teach in one or more of these modalities based on training and experience. Requirements

  • Master's degree in a related field of science
  • Baccalaureate in a related field of science with a Master's in Education plus relevant experience or certifications
  • Master's degree plus significant related job experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching PHY 105 Physics of Sound
  • Experience with music and/or audio recording

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the current subject area
  • Implements course outcomes based on the master syllabus
  • Prepares and distributes an updated course outline specific to the sections taught
  • Prepares and creates lesson plans, instructional materials, and activities for students
  • Teaches courses and evaluates student performance
  • Maintains accurate student records
  • Submits pertinent data to the department and/or the College
