About The Position

The Bellarmine University Physics Program seek a part-time instructor in PHYS211 Analog Electronics for the fall 2025 semester. The course description for PHYS211 is as follows: "This is a course required by physics and computer engineering majors. The basic principles, concepts and methods of Analog Electronics are emphasized. Subject matter includes a wide range of topics such as diodes, transistors, DC biasing BJT, BJT small-signal analysis, multistage systems, OP-amps, digital ICs, and oscillators. Selected applications for the above topics will also be discussed. Three-hour lecture, two-hour laboratory, and one hour recitation. Knowledge of algebra and calculus is expected. Prerequisite: College or University Physics I and II." Candidates should be capable of teaching Electronics laboratories designed for these students. The course is face-to-face. There is a possibility of hybrid teaching style. The ideal candidate will be able to teach both lectures, recitation and a lab section. PHYS211 Analog Electronics: Lecture: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 11:00 - 11:50 AM Recitation: Tuesday 09:25 - 10:10 AM Laboratory: Thursday 09:00 - 11:00 AM The fall semester extends from 08/21/2025 to 12/03/2025.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Master's degree in Physics/Electronic/Electrical Engineering or related field required with academic training in introductory physics.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching physics, electronics, electrical engineering courses at the undergraduate level is preferred.
