About The Position

This Adjunct faculty member teaches Philosophy courses. Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Philosophy from a regionally accredited institution or a Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution and 18 graduate credit hours in Philosophy
• All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments

Responsibilities

• Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
• Evaluates and advises students
• Participates in departmental and College affairs
• Develops curricula
• Recruits students
• Serves on committees
• Performs other duties as assigned
