About the position

The position requires an equivalent/applicable combination of education and/or experience to perform the duties and responsibilities associated with teaching in continuing education or community education. Non-credit Community Education compensation is based on Pay Levels ranging from 1-5, with a new faculty's Pay Level determined by the campus supervisor, ranging from $20 to $60 per hour. Pay Levels are determined based on varying degrees of expertise and evidence in the instructional area. Responsibilities

• Teaching course load as assigned.
• Preparing appropriate lesson plans for each course in accordance with approved course outcomes.
• Developing a professional relationship with students and staff that encourages communication.
• Assisting in the recruitment of students, as appropriate.
• Assisting in the evaluation of curriculum and instructional performance when agreed upon.
• Representing the college in a professional manner throughout the communities and college district.
• Completing all required annual CMC training courses, such as Title IX, Digital Accessibility, and Data Security and Privacy.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

• Commitment to working effectively with students, employees, and community members of all backgrounds.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities preferred.
