About The Position

This job is a part-time, non-benefited, FLSA-exempt position in the General Education Division that reports to the Program Director of Humanities. This position will report to the Alpharetta North-Fulton Campus. Salary: Targeted salary is paid in a lump sum based on contact hours taught. Job Description Summary: Prepares and delivers instruction in classroom and/or online environment. Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for general core courses. Evaluates students' progress in attaining goals and objectives. Consistent communication with students on a regular basis. Administer Learning Management System (Blackboard Ultra) and any 3rd party software platform as required. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports. Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior. Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately. Assists with recruitment retention and job placement efforts.

Requirements

  • Doctorate or Master's degree in music studies, music education, music theory, music performance, and music history
  • OR Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in music studies, music education, music theory, music performance, and music history

Nice To Haves

  • In addition to the minimum qualifications, minimum two years Postsecondary teaching experience.
