About The Position
The University of Pittsburgh School of Law (Pitt Law) seeks to hire part-time Adjunct Faculty to serve as course instructors in the online Master of Studies in Law (MSL) degree program beginning in academic year 2026-2027. Instructors are sought for the following courses: American Legal System Contracts Torts Property Constitutional Law Criminal Law Legislation and Regulation
Requirements
- Licensed attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience practicing or teaching law.
- At least 3 years of experience in the subject matter of the course for which they are engaged.
- Experience using Canvas or a similar learning management system and skill at online interaction.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Zoom.
- Applicants for a course instructor position MUST submit a CV and a cover letter.
- Please identify in your cover letter the specific course or courses you seek to instruct and document your suitability to teach each course for which you are applying.
Responsibilities
- Course instructors support and guide student progress
- Provide detailed and substantive feedback on student submissions
- Grade assignments, tests, and exams
- Instructors use existing online materials, tools, and procedures.
