About The Position
The Department of Computational, Engineering, and Mathematical Sciences is seeking a part-time adjunct instructor(s) for teaching calculus and non-calculus based introductory physics lecture and laboratory for Fall 2025 in person (no online teaching option available).
Requirements
- An earned Master's degree in Physics or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
- 18 graduate hours in Physics or a closely related field.
- Physics Lecture and Laboratory teaching experience.
- Experience as a graduate teaching assistant acceptable.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with faculty and staff.
- Ability to respond promptly to queries from students, faculty, and staff.
Nice To Haves
- Working towards or has earned Ph.D. in Physics, or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
- Experience and interest in teaching undergraduates in a college/university setting.
- Broad training in physics.
- Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology.
- Experience with non-traditional commuter university settings.
