Adjunct Faculty in History
About The Position
The Department of History and World Languages and Cultures at Auburn University at Montgomery is seeking adjunct instructors capable of teaching introductory courses in History, specifically the first and/or second halves of either World History (HIST 1010 and HIST 1020), Western Civilization (HIST 1060 and HIST 1070), or United States History (HIST 2010 and HIST 2020) All instructors are expected to be competent teachers who cover the essential content and fulfill the learning objectives of the courses they teach; responsive to changing professional needs; committed to innovative delivery of instruction resulting in improved student learning; and able to make effective use of technology. Application materials must include a brief cover letter that provides a professional introduction, a curriculum vita, a list of academic references, and copies of all collegiate-level transcripts.
Requirements
- Applicants must have either a M.A. or a Ph.D. in History and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in History

- experience with online instruction is not required, but desirable
