About The Position

SUNY Cobleskill is seeking qualified, capable, and enthusiastic adjunct instructors to teach introductory English level courses. The courses include ENGL 100 | Intro to College Writing and ENGL 101 | Composition I. ENGL 100 is a preparatory course that introduces students to critical reading, thinking, and writing practices necessary for successful completion of their studies. It focuses on reading comprehension, effective text engagement, college-level research practices, and writing skills improvement. ENGL 101 emphasizes personal and academic essay writing, requiring students to demonstrate competency in organizing, clarity, logic, content maturity, and grammar. This is a part-time temporary position, with courses scheduled during the day on campus.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in English or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory English level courses including ENGL 100 and ENGL 101.
