About The Position

The Westchester Educational Opportunity Center (WEOC), a division of Westchester Community College, is seeking bilingual (Spanish), experienced, energetic, innovative, results oriented professionals to join its team. Located in Yonkers, NY, this non-traditional adult education institution provides tuition-free academic and vocational training to eligible underserved adults seeking to develop basic academic and vocational skills competencies and credentials needed for enrollment in college and/or entry into the workforce.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing.
• License as an RN in the state of New York.
• At least two years of clinical nursing experience, with at least one year in home health care services.
• Ability to read, write, and speak in both English and Spanish.
• Ability to establish rapport with students and maintain a supportive learning environment.
• Experience teaching remotely and using an LMS.
• Availability during daytime hours for clinical supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Experience teaching adult learners and at-risk populations.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patient care provided by students enrolled in the Home Health Aide (HHA) program during their clinical rotation.
• Communicate in English with WEOC's RN Director Coordinator on supervisory expectations.
• Coordinate in English with clinicians at the clinical site on student/patient assignments.
• Teach students in Spanish how to perform duties/skills in the clinical site.
• Facilitate the development of critical thinking among students.
• Be available in the clinical site to answer student questions in Spanish.
• Evaluate students' clinical work and provide written and verbal feedback in Spanish.

Benefits

• Hourly rate of pay is $84.46.
• No benefits offered. This position is fully grant funded.
