About The Position

Eastern Florida State College is compiling a database of qualified candidates for part-time teaching opportunities across all its campuses. Applications for part-time faculty are accepted on an ongoing basis, and submitted applications will be considered for teaching opportunities on all of EFSC's campuses. The college is currently in need of part-time Adjunct Instructors for the current Academic School Year in various disciplines including Nursing Patient Care Assistant, Radiography, Physical Therapy Assistant, Sonography, Respiratory Care, Surgical Technology, and Healthcare.

Requirements

• Master's degree from a regionally-accredited institution with a major in the discipline to be taught.
• For Technical Programs: Master's degree with specialization in primary teaching area, or Bachelor's degree with specialization and 3 years of relevant employment experience, or AA/AS degree with specialization and 6 years of relevant employment experience.
• For Vocational Programs: Similar qualifications as Technical Programs, with the addition of a High School diploma with relevant licenses or certifications and 6 years of relevant employment experience.
• Valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator's license required within 30 days of hire.
• Successful fingerprinting and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the assigned discipline.
• Prepare course materials and assessments.
• Evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and grades.
• Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities.

Benefits

• Part-time faculty members are enrolled in the Alternative Plan to Social Security in lieu of Social Security.
