About The Position

Austin Community College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for Graphic Design. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in Art, Graphic Design, Commercial Art, Computer Graphics, Graphic Design, Printing/Production, or Visual Communication.
  • Documentable 3 years of non-teaching industry-relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using computer applications and online resources for the classroom.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software: InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HTML/CSS and visual design.
  • Experience in teaching and curriculum development.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and teach graphic design courses based on the department's approved course learning outcomes.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide clear, timely feedback reflecting program learning outcomes.
  • Provide teaching and mentoring services to students without discrimination.
  • Remain current in the field through professional development activities.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the department chair or other administrative personnel.
