The Department of Education at Manhattan University seeks outstanding applicants for multiple part-time Adjunct Professor positions in our Special Education Master's Program. This search is open to candidates specializing in all areas of Special Education with consideration given to those candidates with expertise in the areas of 1) literacy intervention 2) curricular adaptation and 3) adolescent special education A Master's degree in Education or a related field is required, with a preference for candidates who hold a Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Special Education or a related discipline. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in teaching and have a recent history of professional work in the P-12 sector working with special populations. We seek faculty members with a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring who will create a climate that embraces excellence and diversity, to attract and retain a diverse, talented student body. Manhattan University and its faculty view research scholarship and education as mutually supportive activities. This position requires on-site, in person teaching during afternoons and/or evenings in the Spring 2026 semester. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
