About The Position

The Adjunct Faculty position in the Graduate Counseling Program involves teaching up to 9 credit hours per semester. The courses may include COUN 697: Addictions Counseling, COUN 637: Career Development, two sections of COUN 528: Clinical Mental Health Practicum, COUN 690: Internship 2, and COUN 699: Topics: Sexual Health, all scheduled for Spring 2026. Faculty are contracted per course, and salary is determined by education.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Counseling, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program.
  • LPC in Virginia preferred.
  • LPC in Virginia required for clinical mental health practicum and clinical mental health internship courses.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an adjunct faculty member for the graduate counseling program.
  • Teach up to 9 credit hours per semester.
  • Potentially teach courses including COUN 697, COUN 637, COUN 528, COUN 690, and COUN 699.
