About The Position

Provides quality education and maintains high standards of academic excellence in teaching assigned courses in the discipline. The Adjunct hybrid faculty roles teach assigned courses in person and asynchronously online. This role also maintains office hours as assigned. Strayer University is seeking a dynamic Adjunct Faculty member to join their academics team, specifically for a graduate level Finance class for the upcoming Summer quarter, starting July 6, 2026 in a hybrid format. The hybrid format involves 11 in-person meeting sessions for 2 hours every week held at a predetermined scheduled time (day/evening) at a specific Strayer University Campus, with the balance of the course instructed asynchronously online. Strayer Adjunct Faculty are not just instructors; they are also coaches and mentors, striving to ignite a life-long love of learning in students and being flexible with their diverse learning styles. Requirements

Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) software and overall computer skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation.
Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing of course objectives.
Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Effective time management skills.
5 years Professional Experience in a Finance-related field.
Doctorate in Finance or a Finance-related discipline required, or Doctorate in Business-related discipline with a Masters in Finance or a Finance-related discipline required.
Must be able to travel weekly to required location(s).
Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor.
Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job.
Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant.
Access information using a computer.
Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain.
Effectively cope with stressful situations.
Strong mental acuity.
Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.

Responsibilities

Provides quality education and maintains high standards of academic excellence in teaching assigned courses in the discipline.
Teach assigned courses in person and asynchronously online.
Maintain office hours as assigned.
Teach courses as assigned from a pre-designed curriculum and utilize professional expertise to provide high-quality instruction.
Enhance the strength and effectiveness of the curriculum using technology and videos.
Arrive on-campus at least half an hour prior to the start time of in-person sessions per week during the academic quarter.
Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience for the online component of the course.
Be available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours to ensure students receive quality feedback in a timely manner to support their academic success.
Establish high standards and ensure students understand how they will be evaluated.
Adhere to University policies and procedures.
Attend faculty meetings and workshops or training as required.
