About The Position

The Film Department of SUNY Westchester Community College seeks Adjunct Faculty for cinema studies courses. Responsibilities of the incumbent include preparing and delivering instruction in introductory film analysis courses to a diverse student body, using departmental textbook on film language. The faculty member will provide regular and timely feedback to students and utilize innovative classroom instruction to promote student success. Additionally, the faculty member is expected to actively participate in all Departmental assessments and classroom management requirements. Morning, afternoon and evening teaching assignments may be offered on weekdays and/or weekends, on the main campus or at extension sites throughout Westchester.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Film or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of one year's experience teaching cinema studies at the advanced high school or college level.

Responsibilities
