About The Position

Adjunct Faculty are instructional personnel whose services are contracted on a semester/term by semester/term basis. The workload is limited to two course sections per semester/term, unless three course sections are required to meet the needs of the students and/or College. Adjunct Faculty are paid by the credit hour.

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited institution including 18 graduate semester hours in English or related field required.
• Applicants with a Master's degree in Education and an English teaching certification or prior English teaching experience will be considered.
• Access to a computer less than 6 years old equipped with a webcam and microphone, and reliable high-speed internet service.
• Proficiency with the Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) and remote delivery.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Webex Videoconferencing resources.
• Participation in Blackboard training with a verified level of proficiency in 'Getting Started with Blackboard Learn' and 'Learn Teaching Essentials for Original'.
• Experience in teaching English or related subjects.

Responsibilities

• Provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to students, members of the college community, and the public.
• Prepare student outcomes assessment efforts, including planning, collecting data, and reporting dates related to course outcomes, program outcomes, general education outcomes, and developmental program outcomes.
• Participate in setting annual division goals and objectives.
• Complete OIR reporting forms, collect data, analyze data, and prepare reports using guidelines established by OIR.
