About The Position

Accepting Applications for Academic Year 2025-2026 Adjunct or part time teaching assignments at this time include in person day courses on the Brockton campus for both Massasoit's Early College Program and Academic ESOL Program and may include additional sites in the future. Professors work collaboratively to create a learner centered environment focused on student learning and success. Teaching approaches are expected to include active and collaborative techniques and real-world applications related to composition and literature.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in English as a Second Language, or closely aligned field, or a Master's degree with an appropriate level of experience and training.

• Knowledge of and experience using effective pedagogical strategies.

Responsibilities

• Create a community of learners
• Plan and implement active and collaborative learning and assessment
• Provide consistent feedback
• Evaluate achievement
• Assign grades
• Maintain student records of attendance, participation, grades, etc.
• Work collaboratively with divisional staff
• Monitor email communications from students and the college, and respond in a timely manner
