About The Position

The Engineering and Physics Department is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach in BHCC's Electric Power Utility Program. This program is a unique partnership between Bunker Hill Community College and Eversource/Local 369 Utlity Workers Union of America. More information here: https://www.bhcc.edu/eput/ Spring courses to be taught: EPU 104 AC Circuit Theory with Lab This course provides in-depth coverage of alternating current electrical theory. Topics covered include inductance, transformers, capacitance, reactance, impedance, and resonance. The j-operator is employed. Current schedule (open to some flexibility): Lecture: Tuesday (remote via Webex) 1:00 pm to 2:15 pm and Thursday (on Charlestown campus) 1:00 pm to 2:15 pm Lab: Thursday on Charlestown campus: 2:30 pm to 5:15 pm

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or closely related field.
  • Equivalent experience in the Electical field (Electrical engineer, Journeyman electician, Master electrician or other relevant industry certification) would be welcome.
