About The Position

This is a part-time (adjunct) faculty position in the Dental Hygiene department. Candidates will be interviewed and hired on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. The position involves providing clinical instruction in Dental Hygiene courses, preparing and delivering learning activities, evaluating and grading students' performance, maintaining attendance records, and being available for student coaching. The work schedule will be determined based on business unit needs, with classes potentially offered during the day, evening, and/or weekend.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
• Current Ohio Dental Hygiene License and Registered Dental Hygienist
• Ability to administer local anesthesia
• Three years of Periodontal experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent)
• Advanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skills
• Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of the community

• Expertise in teaching clinical dental hygiene and digital radiology

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical instruction in Dental Hygiene courses
• Prepares and delivers learning activities in order to achieve course outcomes
• Evaluates and grades students' clinical performance, laboratory work, assignments, and projects
• Maintains and submits student attendance records, grades and other required documentation by specified deadlines
• Be available to students for coaching
• Participates in periodic meetings with supervisors, division, or College, relative to teaching duties and training and development
