About The Position

The Counselor Education Department at The Chicago School is seeking several highly qualified adjunct instructors to join our diverse faculty at our Chicago Campus. This job posting, and all others for adjunct faculty roles with The Chicago School, are posted as “evergreen” roles. This means that there is usually an ongoing need for departments to hire 1-2 adjuncts each semester (usually for teaching specialized topics), and they prefer to keep a running pool of applicants to select from when the need to hire arises. Requirements

• Doctorate in Counselor Education
• Proven record of excellence in instruction
• Experience with blended and online instruction
• Licensed or license-eligible as a Professional Counselor
• Strong commitment to working as part of a faculty team
• Strong record of research and clinical work desirable
• Experience teaching at the graduate level
• Record of active involvement in counseling professional organizations
• Commitment to issues of social justice and diversity
• Strong commitment to preparing students to become excellent practitioners and researchers in the counseling field

Nice To Haves

• Doctoral degree from a CACREP Accredited Program

Responsibilities

• Teach throughout the academic year at the master's program
• Design and implement course instruction and provide evaluation of students.
• Maintain communication with department administration, faculty, and students.
