The College of DuPage is seeking dedicated adjunct faculty members to teach Culinary Assistant courses within the Continuing Education program. This role is pivotal in fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds. The successful candidate will be committed to teaching in a multicultural setting and will have the opportunity to work with students who possess a variety of learning abilities. Adjunct faculty members are responsible for planning and delivering courses in various formats, including face-to-face, online, hybrid, and blended settings. The courses are designed for personal growth and development, focusing on non-credit adult enrichment in the Food and Beverage categories. Topics may include international foods, baking, basic culinary skills, wine appreciation, and entertaining. Classes typically meet once a week for three hours, either on weekday evenings or during weekend mornings, spanning 1 to 4 weeks. It is important to note that these courses do not award academic credit. In addition to course instruction, adjunct faculty are tasked with evaluating student performance and ensuring the timely submission of all required documentation related to their teaching responsibilities.
