About The Position

Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for the Business and Information Systems department. The position involves teaching assigned CIS courses in face-to-face, online, or hybrid formats. The faculty member will prepare and deliver course materials in alignment with approved curriculum, course objectives, and accreditation standards. Responsibilities include assessing student learning, maintaining accurate records, supporting students, and incorporating technology into instruction. The position is a fixed-term appointment and does not offer benefits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required in Business or Information Systems, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other current business/technology applications.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to student learning.

• 3+ years of teaching experience.
• Professional experience in information systems, business technology, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned CIS courses in face-to-face, online, or hybrid formats.
• Prepare and deliver course materials in alignment with approved curriculum, course objectives, and accreditation standards (e.g., ACBSP).
• Assess student learning through assignments, tests, projects, and presentations; provide timely and constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance in the College's LMS.
• Support students through office hours, email, or virtual appointments.
• Incorporate technology, hands-on practice, and real-world applications to enhance instruction.
• Adhere to College policies and procedures, including those related to academic integrity and student success.
