About The Position

The faculty member will engage students in the teaching/learning process, work assigned schedule, and perform other related duties as required. The faculty should be able to teach macroeconomics and microeconomics. This is an in-person position looking for a candidate that can teach on campus.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Economics, or related field (including at least 18 graduate semester hours) which supports teaching of microeconomics or macroeconomics is required.
• Previous college-level teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and teaches courses which fulfill the current curriculum goals and objectives.
• Remains current with subject matter and instructional methodology.
• Assures consistency in the planning, preparation, and administration of the course content, syllabus, outlines, and other teaching materials for courses and lab experiences.
• Works effectively with students and challenges students appropriately with an acceptable level of civility and discourse.
• Communicates progress in the course to students in a timely manner.
• Employs appropriate assessment techniques to measure student performance in achieving course goals and objectives.
• Collects, reports, and maintains assessment documentation.
• Determines and submits students' grades in accordance with established College policies and procedures.
• Supports the mission of the program, division, and College.
