About The Position

The position is for an Adjunct Faculty member in the Arts and Humanities department at Delgado Community College. The primary responsibilities include teaching assigned courses and preparing course materials. The faculty member is expected to hold 30 minutes of office hours per course, prepare and grade examinations, input grades into college systems, maintain and submit class records, and complete all required employee training and professional development as applicable.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Speech Communications required
• Master's Degree in related field (theatre, public relations, or mass communications) with a minimum of 18 credit hours in graduate-level speech classes
• Experience teaching in a higher education setting required
• High level of written and oral communications skills required
• Experience working with adults from diverse backgrounds and cultures

Nice To Haves

• Master's in Communication Studies preferred
• Minimum of 2 years teaching in Communication Studies or related field in a higher education setting preferred
