About The Position

Lesley University is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach the course CAPPL 3100 Business, Sustainability, and the Environment for the Spring Semester. This fully remote course is designed for upper-level students to synthesize their learning and apply knowledge across disciplines to address complex environmental and business-related problems. The role involves guiding students in examining the impact of industrial performance on humanity and the environment, while also exploring the rationale behind companies adopting environmental management standards.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business with experience teaching environmental studies, or a Master's degree in Environmental Studies with Business experience.
  • Successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the course CAPPL 3100 Business, Sustainability, and the Environment on Thursdays from 1:15-3:45pm EST.
  • Guide students in synthesizing and reflecting on their learning across disciplinary boundaries.
  • Facilitate discussions on the impact of business decisions on the environment and society.
  • Assess student performance and provide feedback on assignments and projects.
