About The Position
To teach lecture and/or lab courses as assigned by the Department Chair. Selected applicants will be interviewed to establish a pool of approved Biology instructors for possible Part-Time teaching assignments in the Science Department.
Requirements
- Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Biology from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
- To teach and prepare in-person lectures and labs in one or more of the following courses: BIOL 1406 - Biology for Science Majors I BIOL 1407 - Biology for Science Majors II BIOL 1408 - Biology for Non Science Majors I BIOL 1409 - Biology for Non Science Majors II
- Ability to communicate with written and oral expertise in the English language.
- Ability to promote an effective environment for learning in lecture and lab experiences.
- Ability to teach students from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
Nice To Haves
- Community college and/or secondary teaching experience preferred.
