About The Position

The Department of Biological Sciences is immediately seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach majors-level laboratory courses in evolution, genetics, cell biology, ecology, anatomy and physiology, and microbiology, as well as general biology for non-science majors. Teaching appointments will be in the Fall 2019 and/or the Spring 2020 semesters. Please see the Department website (www.rowan.edu/biology) for more information.

Requirements

• Master's degree required in the field of biology or a related field.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.
• Favorable recommendations from references.
• Favorable previous teaching evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Teach majors-level laboratory courses in evolution, genetics, cell biology, ecology, anatomy and physiology, and microbiology.
• Teach general biology for non-science majors.
• Prepare and deliver course materials and assessments.
• Provide guidance and support to students.

• $1975 per credit for all courses taught.
• Maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year.
