About The Position

The Adjunct Faculty position at Life Chiropractic College West is a part-time role focused on the instruction, supervision, and evaluation of students in the classroom and/or laboratory setting. The faculty member will be responsible for maintaining course content, scheduling office hours, and keeping necessary records such as grading and attendance. Additionally, attendance at department meetings is required if scheduled on a teaching day. The role also includes compliance with the college's code of conduct and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Requirements

• Terminal Degree (DC, PhD, MD, or other doctoral degree).
• Minimum of three years practice experience.
• Teaching, clinical, or other relevant experience.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding students/employee information.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• High degree of initiative and independent judgment.
• Appropriate multimedia and computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Background in anatomy, physiology, and/or pathology through professional practice, research, or teaching.
• Healthcare or laboratory science experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct, supervise, and evaluate students in the classroom and/or laboratory setting.
• Complete course assessments for the department.
• Maintain and edit course content in conjunction with the department chair.
• Schedule and be present during student office hours.
• Maintain necessary records for each course taught, including grading and attendance.
• Attend department meetings if scheduled on teaching days.
• Fulfill other responsibilities as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.
