About The Position

The position is for an Adjunct Faculty member in Basic Sciences at Life Chiropractic College West, located in Bellevue, NE. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt role that requires the instructor to be responsible for the instruction, supervision, and evaluation of students in both classroom and laboratory settings. The next start date is for the Winter Quarter in January 2026. The courses available include Cell Physiology, Microbiology, and Biochemistry.

Requirements

  • Terminal Degree (DC, PhD, MD, or other doctoral degree).
  • Two years teaching, clinical or other relevant experience.
  • Educational, clinical or experience as required by the department.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong teaching skills in Basic Sciences Subjects such as Systemic Histology, Skeletal Anatomy, Spinal Anatomy, Regional Anatomy, Cell and/or Systemic Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, and Physiopathology.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidentiality in regards to students/employee information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of initiative and independent judgment.
  • Appropriate multimedia and computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for the instruction, supervision and evaluation of students in the classroom and/or laboratory setting.
  • Complete course assessments for the department.
  • Maintain and edit course content as needed in conjunction with the department chair for each course taught.
  • Schedule and be present during student office hours.
  • Maintain all necessary records for each course taught, including grading and attendance records.
  • Attend department meetings if scheduled on their teaching day.
  • Comply with the LCCW code of conduct and all college policies as specified in the Employee Handbook and Collective Bargaining Agreement.
