About The Position

The Department of Astrophysics and Planetary Science seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Faculty Pool and welcomes applicants at any time. Requirements

  • A master’s degree in Astronomy or a closely related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Substantial experience in the field of Astronomy.
  • Previous teaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching of a specified course according to Astrophysics and Planetary Science Departmental guidelines.
  • Courses taught will be in the Department’s core natural science program and will include duties as either a lecture course instructor or a laboratory instructor.
  • Preparing a syllabus
  • Grading course materials
  • Reporting the final grades.
  • Lab instructors will also be expected to participate in discussions about the updating and improvement of lab exercises.
