Course Details: Course Name : BIOL 195C Anatomy & Physiology I, BIOL 196C Anatomy & Physiology II Credits : 4 Lecture Hours : 3 Lab/Practicum Hours : 2 Schedule : TBD Location : NHTI Campus, Concord, NH Course Descriptions: BIOL 195C: An introduction to the structure and function of the human body. Includes elementary cytophysiology, histology, and anatomy and physiology of the integumentary system, skeletal system, muscular system, nervous system, and special senses. Lab work parallels lecture topics and includes microscopy, study of human anatomical models, dissection of preserved animals, and physiological experimentation. BIOL 196C: A continuation of BIOL 195C. Includes anatomy and physiology of the endocrine system, circulatory system, immune system, respiratory system, digestive system, excretory system, and reproductive system. Other topics covered include nutrition and metabolism, acid/base balance, fluid and electrolyte balance, and genetics. Lab work parallels lecture topics and includes microscopy, study of human anatomical models, dissection of preserved animals, and physiological experimentation.
