About The Position

William Paterson University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Faculty within the Cotsakos College of Business, Department of Accounting and Law. This position may not have an immediate vacancy, but qualified applicants may be contacted for future openings. Undergraduate and graduate courses are taught both online and in person, including subjects such as Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Business Law. The Department of Accounting and Law provides opportunities for degrees at the BS and MS level and emphasizes a collegial atmosphere dedicated to student success.

Requirements

• MBA or Masters in accounting or related field plus CPA with at least 5 years of experience in a managerial capacity for teaching undergraduate accounting courses.
• J.D. plus L.L.M for teaching Taxation and Business Law courses.
• Full time or part-time employment or active professional practice.
• Ability to teach online.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of teaching in higher education.
• Professional activity within discipline such as leadership or managerial role in a business enterprise, non-profit organization, or government agency.
• Experience teaching both online and in person.

Responsibilities

• Develop relevant syllabi using the course outline as a guide to deploy course content, objectives, and methods of student assessment for up to six (6) credits per semester in an undergraduate course.
• Provide consistent and effective support and guidance to students through role modeling and mentoring.
• Teach in person and/or online depending upon course schedules and department needs.
