About The Position

The University of Arkansas - Fort Smith is seeking adjunct faculty to teach in various subject areas including English, Composition, Rhetoric, Writing, Communication, and/or Speech. This is a pool position, meaning applicants will be contacted as positions become available. The role involves both classroom and online instruction, assessing and evaluating student learning, and maintaining a positive work atmosphere. The position reports to the department head/program director/dean who assigns responsibilities regarding student needs and course outcomes.

Requirements

• Master's degree in the discipline or related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the subject area for lower and upper-level courses
• Doctorate degree required for courses leading to a master's degree
• Minimum of an associate's degree and related work experience for instructors in occupational and technical areas
• Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for part of these requirements
