About The Position

Marymount University seeks to build a pool of qualified instructors to teach courses in Astronomy, Geology, and Physical Science. Qualified applicants will be contacted when the need arises. Responsible for providing a quality learning experience for Marymount University students on a semester basis.

Requirements

• Master’s degree at minimum
• 2-3 years of teaching experience and/or professional experience in related discipline
• experience in student advising and teaching pre-service teachers in a university setting

Nice To Haves

• PhD degree in related field preferred for graduate teaching preferred

Responsibilities

• Teach designated courses and must be committed to program development and monitoring course content, course implementation, and clinical experiences.
• Maintains appropriate office hours and advises students on program requirements as well as professional development/career opportunities.
• Building department program; enhancing student engagement and community outreach; participating in departmental assessment and faculty governance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
