The Cybersecurity & Networking Instructor position is an adjunct role under the direct supervision of the Program Director. The instructor is responsible for providing instructional services, which include developing course outcomes and curriculum aligned with academic and program goals, managing instructional activities, and evaluating student learning. The instructor must maintain accurate records, submit grades on time, and regularly seek feedback on course delivery. Additionally, the instructor is expected to participate in the college's evaluation system and contribute to the assessment of student academic achievement while ensuring a safe working environment.

  • Assists with development of course outcomes and curriculum consistent with Academic Affairs and program goals.
  • Conveys course outcomes and expectations to students according to college policy.
  • Organizes and manages instructional activities using learner-centered methods.
  • Provides evaluation methods appropriate to stated outcomes and evaluates student learning fairly.
  • Posts and maintains sufficient office hours compatible with student schedules.
  • Maintains accurate records of evaluation and course work including attendance.
  • Submits grades as required and on time.
  • Seeks feedback on course delivery and student learning regularly.
  • Participates in the college evaluation system of instructional services.
  • Revises and updates courses regularly.
  • Contributes to the assessment of student academic achievement.
  • Works cooperatively with others to accomplish departmental goals.
  • Maintains a safe working area and conditions at all times.
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Networking, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Maintain course standards set by the Cybersecurity Program.
  • Evidence of professional development in the field through participation in professional associations, seminars, workshops, and individual research.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong technology skills including usage of email, student information systems, and learning management systems.
  • Organizational, record-keeping, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of subject area and educational theory.
  • Understanding of learners and individual learning styles.
  • Commitment to a learner-centered educational process.
