About The Position
Saint Joseph’s University’s Department of Computer Science has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to staff a variety of courses each semester. We are looking for the support of highly qualified, capable, and experienced adjunct instructors. Presently, there is a specific need for faculty to teach Introductory Programming (Java and Python), Computer Architecture, Internet Application Development, and Algorithms. Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct 1 or 2 courses each semester on an “as needed” basis. Courses available for adjunct staffing are offered during the day and evening.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or a closely related field
- Previous teaching/training experience
Responsibilities
- Teaching of a specified course
- Preparation of materials
- Providing support and guidance to students
- Grade reporting and assessment
- Offer one hour of office hours each week
