The Adjunct - College Study Skills Instructor position at Lee College is a part-time role focused on teaching essential learning skills to students, particularly those within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) correctional facilities. The instructor will be responsible for delivering the Learning Framework course (EDUC 1300) and/or the non-credit Learning Strategies for Success course (LSSS 300). This role is contingent upon the needs of the college and requires instructors to be flexible and available to teach as needed, typically prior to or during the start of each semester. Instructors must also complete the Lee Teaching Online Certification course or provide documentation of prior training in distance education to ensure they are equipped to teach effectively in various formats. In this role, the instructor will engage with students to foster a learning environment that emphasizes student success and the integration of technology into the curriculum. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate student records, submitting reports to the Admissions & Records Office, and providing guidance to students as necessary. The instructor will also be expected to adhere to the approved syllabi and instructional materials while evaluating the learning experiences of students in accordance with the college's adopted curricula and procedures. Additional duties may be assigned as needed, reflecting the dynamic nature of adjunct faculty roles within the college.
