About The Position

The Adjunct Clinical Instructor for the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program at Goodwin University is responsible for supervising nursing students during their clinical assignments, providing feedback on their performance, and evaluating their clinical work. This role is designed for a MSN-prepared individual with nursing experience who can facilitate learning in both clinical and laboratory settings, ensuring that students meet educational and professional standards.

Requirements

  • MSN degree required.
  • 3-5 years of nursing experience.
  • Teaching experience with RN students is preferred.
  • Active RN license or eligibility for licensure in Connecticut.

Nice To Haves

  • Laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the clinical experience across the curriculum.
  • Review and provide weekly feedback to students on clinical packets and other assignments as appropriate.
  • Complete a midterm and final evaluation for each student per clinical rotation.
  • Assist with the clinical experience in the nursing skills and simulation laboratory.
  • Support students and lab faculty as needed in the laboratory environment.
  • Collaborate with faculty to provide consistent and relevant student learning experiences to meet the course and clinical learning outcomes.
  • Maintain standard of care with relation to safety protocols across both the work clinical and laboratory environments.
