About The Position

The University of Florida College of Dentistry is seeking applications for a part-time Adjunct Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Dental Sciences, Division of Operative Dentistry. UFCD is seeking applicants interested in working up to twenty hours per week (0.50 FTE). The University of Florida College of Dentistry (UFCD) is one of the leading dental schools in the United States devoted to improving and promoting oral health throughout Florida, the nation and worldwide through excellence in teaching, research, patient care and service. Responsibilities include didactic, preclinical and clinical instruction in operative dentistry to DMD students. Minimum requirements include a DDS, DMD, or equivalent dental degree. Preferred qualifications include: previous teaching experience, familiarity with digital dentistry workflows, and clinical practice experience. Applicants should possess the skills and knowledge to provide clinical coverage in all aspects of general dentistry. As well as being a strong clinician, applicant should be organized, open minded, dedicated to teaching students according to the guidelines set by the department, proficient with technology and the use of electronic health records, abreast of current evidence-based dentistry and possess excellent communication skills. The University of Florida, a member of the AAU, is the largest and most comprehensive public university in the state of Florida, with large undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate educational programs. The UF Health Science Center and its six colleges (Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health and Health Professions, Veterinary Medicine) are co-located on the Gainesville campus, with additional teaching, research, and patient care sites across Florida, and internationally.
