About The Position

The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach BIO 201: Foundations in Biological Inquiry for the Spring 2025 semester. This introductory biology course is designed for majors and covers essential topics in biology through lectures and inquiry-based labs. The position requires a commitment to teaching excellence and engagement with students in a dynamic learning environment.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree or higher in Biology or a related field.
  • Demonstrated teaching experience in biology or related subjects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with inquiry-based teaching methods.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development in biology education.

Responsibilities

  • Teach BIO 201: Foundations in Biological Inquiry during the Spring 2025 semester.
  • Conduct lectures on Tuesdays and Fridays from 2:00pm to 3:20pm.
  • Facilitate lab sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:30am to 12:20pm.
  • Develop and implement an inquiry-based approach to laboratory instruction.
  • Assess student performance and provide feedback on their progress.
