This position is responsible for teaching classes as assigned by the academic dean. Methodologies include: face-to-face, hybrid, video conferencing, live virtual, and online. The role involves evaluating and reporting student performances and progress in accordance with college and division policies and procedures. The instructor must meet Minimum Faculty Standards for hire and adhere to college policies and procedures. The position promotes, develops, and delivers quality education programs with the intent to retain students to graduation, demonstrating IWCC's core mission, vision, and values. In addition, the instructor is expected to meet minimum expectations for the use of the college Learning Management System, including posting the syllabus to the course page by college deadlines, recording student attendance, and maintaining an accurate and current gradebook for all graded course activities. The instructor will assess and document student learning outcomes in courses each term in accordance with college policies and procedures, organize and teach labs as assigned by the academic dean, and complete required professional development and trainings. A positive and professional demeanor with all members of the college and community is essential, contributing to a productive and growth-oriented work environment. The instructor will promote, model, and enforce academic integrity, be available to answer student questions outside of class time, help students achieve their educational and career goals, refer students to college resources, maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and Title IX regulations, adhere to safety policies and procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.
