The College is currently recruiting adjunct faculty to teach a First Year Experience course. Data shows that First-Year or Freshman experience courses can have a positive impact on students' academic and social integration into a college. These courses, therefore, result in increased student retention, improvements in GPA, reductions in course failure rates, improvements in student-faculty interaction, increases in support service utilization, and improvements in students' perceptions of their emotional well-being. It is classified as a high-impact practice. As a result, this course is now a graduation requirement for all first-time Freshman students entering the College.
