About The Position

The Adjunct Professor of Art History at Monmouth University is responsible for teaching Surveys of Western Art, focusing on critical pedagogical approaches. Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in Art or a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Surveys of Western Art, including Prehistoric to Gothic and Renaissance to Contemporary courses.
  • Utilize critical pedagogical approaches in teaching.
  • Possibly teach introductory Art Appreciation courses.
  • Teach 300-level, writing-intensive Art History courses as needed, such as African American Art, History of Graphic Design, and Gender, Art, and Society.
