About the position

The Department of Biology PLV at Pace University seeks a part-time adjunct instructor with teaching or professional experience in Anatomy and Physiology. The instructor will be responsible for teaching assigned courses in the discipline, planning, organizing, and delivering lessons, and providing feedback to students to promote academic success. The position requires an appropriate level of education based on rank, with an MD and/or PhD preferred, as well as in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology subject matter. Prior teaching experience at the higher education level is preferred, along with excellent communication and presentation skills. While there are course sections available for daytime, preference may be given to applicants with evening availability.

Responsibilities

  • Teaches assigned courses in the discipline.
  • Plans, organizes, and delivers lessons.
  • Provides feedback to students to promote academic success.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology subject matter.
  • Appropriate level of education based on rank (MD and/or PhD preferred).
  • Prior teaching experience at the higher education level preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
