About The Position

Our Advanced Manufacturing division seeks a talented Additive Repair Engineer. Position Summary: This position will support the Additive Repair Technologies Group in the Advance Manufacturing Division. The position will serve as a repair engineer for the CS technologies group developing test plans, reports, and repair procedures. The successful candidate will understand cold spray repair, equipment, and repair set-up and pre- and post-processing. This role will build and execute material test matrix on cold spray as well as assisting in developing novel testing methods. The majority of work will support government customers.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, Materials or Chemical Engineering or related engineering field)
  • 2 years of experience working with Design of Experiments
  • A minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience is required at the R2 level
  • Proven ability to create, read and interpret models, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
  • Proven experience in processing cold spray samples for metallurgical analysis
  • Working knowledge of materials testing standards and procedures
  • Proficient in 3D CAD modeling software and ability to generate drawing in accordance with ASTM Y14.5
  • Experience with Solid Works PDM
  • Proficient in Excel and other MS Office Suite programs
  • Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related engineering field).
  • Master’s degree (Materials Engineering)
  • 6 years of experience with creating and executing component and system level validation and qualification test plans, as well as analysis of test data and results
  • 3 years’ experience with Solidworks 3D CAD modeling.
  • Experience with process documents generation for quality standards such as ISO9001 or AS9100
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills, demonstrated at all levels of an organization
  • Self-motivated & organized with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated successful collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Demonstrated problem solving and time management skills
  • Experience in technical writing and technical proposal documentation and creation
